The New MakerEd Resource Library

Ten years of tools and resources developed for maker educators re-organized

At the end of 2022, after MakerEd’s closing, I reached out to Dale and the MakerEd board with my ideas for reimagining the future of the organization. I didn’t want the MakerEd website to fall into disarray and have 10 years of progress & work become lost to time. I wanted to help ensure that the website would remain viable, and continue to be a place where makers and educators could come together to form community around resource sharing for the today’s maker educators and those in the future.

After months of collaboration between Dale, Stephanie Chang and I, we are excited to relaunch the MakerEd’s Resource Library. If you are looking for ideas related to learning activities, learning assessment, program management, and makerspace development, explore our Resource Library on makered.org. (Note that this newsletter’s domain is makered.substack.com).

Each resource page contains a brief summary, a link to visit the resource, and a comment section where you can ask questions and leave helpful feedback to other educators using this resource. Click on the categories to see related resources.
