Make A Paperclip Crankshaft Automata
Automatas are storytelling devices that include motion. Teaching Artist Jay Mankita of Playful Engineers will walk us through making simple walking mechanisms using jumbo paper clips and a few other supplies. Join us for this fun and informative virtual workshop and discussion.
Participants should come prepared with 2 or more smooth JUMBO paper clips, 1 pencil or popsicle stick, a sheet of card stock or manila folder paper, and a few small pieces of cardboard, masking tape and scissors. A pair of needle nose pliers may also be helpful.
