A K-12 Makerspace directory

Is your school makerspace listed?

A reader asked if there’s a directory of K-12 school makerspaces. We do have a listing of k-12 makerspaces on makerspace.com and here’s a link to an alphabetical listing. Unfortunately, we only have 53 schools listed.

A quick scan of the listing suggests that half of the K-!2 makerspaces listed are outside the US. Here’s an image from a STEAM Makerspace in Oaxaca.

There has to be a lot more makerspaces than we know.

When I ask Gemini how many K-12 schools there are, it says that there’s “no exact total count” of makerspaces but it estimates that one-fourth of all schools have makerspaces and “the number is growing steadily.”

Check to see if your school makerspace is listed. If not, please register your K-12 makerspace at the link below and let’s see if we can increase the number of known makerspaces in K-12 schools.
